The Vision of MSSS is to create a just society based on Gospel values of social harmony and equity with democratic and human values. This vision is evolved from its development philosophy that the poor are the real owners and they are to be placed at the centre development process.

Mission

The Mission of MSSS is to serve the poor, marginalized and unorganized sections of the society, by promoting and strengthening their community based organizations, in order to enhance the creative potentials of the individuals and the groups, for sustaining the development and empowerment processes.

STRUCTURE

MSSS has a decentralized structure where all the crucial stake holders from the grassroots to the governing body have decision making powers and responsibilities clearly envisaged out. The vertical and horizontal communication pattern makes the system very much transparent and accountable.

  • United Nations Academic Impact(UNAI)- recognized Malankara Social Service Society  as one of the members of the UNAI body considering its continuous educational services to the marginalized sector of the society towards sustainable development
  • National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM)-Malankara Social Service is one of the Capacity Building Agencies selected for NRLM under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India for the services in the field of social mobilization, institutional building, financial inclusion, livelihood promotion and convergent practices especially in the rural sector. The operational area is mainly concentrated on different States of India.
  • Ministry of Rural Development recognized Malankara Social Service Society as one of the Project Implementing Agencies (PIA) for the DDUGKY project among over the Indian States.
  • Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under DGET recognized Malankara Social Service Society as one of the Direct Testing Centers for NCVT certification on MES courses. 
  • National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) chose Malankara Social Service Society as one of the Skill Training Providers for the unemployed youth among the urban areas.
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India selected Malankara Social Service Society as one of the partners for the skilling the persons with disabilities.
  • Department of Social Justice, Governt of Kerala recognized Malankara Social Service Society as one of accredited agencies of the service delivery for the vulnerable sector of Kerala State which includes the target groups of women,children,disabled and senior citizens.
  • Kerala Local Self  Government Service Delivery Project(Thaddessa Mithram) under the Department of Local Self Government,Government of Kerala selected Malankara Social Service Society as one of the Consultancy agencies for the project identification and project developments
  • Kerala Women’s Commission recognized Malankara Social Service Society as one of the partners for the quality service providers to the women folk in the state.
  • Life Insurance Corporation selected Malankara Social Service Society as one the Micro Insurance Premium Point for the speedy micro insurance related services in the state.
  • Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) recognized Malankara Social Service Society as one of the partner organizations for the social work education to the marginalized sectors in the state.
  • Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) selected Malankara Social Service Society as one of the EDP training centers to enhance the capacities of the women and youth for venturing micro enterprises unit.
  • Kudumbasree Kerala State Poverty Alleviation Mission selected Malankara Social Service Society  as one of the Skill Training Institutes for micro enterprise promotion.
  • Kerala State Planning Board included Malankara Social Service Society in the expert committee for the bamboo development projects in the state.
  • Kerala State Women Development Corporation (KSWDC) selected Malankara Social Service Society for micro finance services to the low income women groups.
  • Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation selected Malankara Social Service Society as project implementing agency for Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM)   funded by USAID-GOI-UNDP-Climate Risk Management Project.
  • Stop TB Partnership selected Malankara Social Service Society as one of its members worldwide for TB care and control services.
  • Partnership for TB Care and Control of India (PTCCI) selected Malankara Social Service Society as the State Focal Point for the Kerala State.
  • Thiruvananthapuram TB Forum selected Malankara Social Service Society as the leading NGO in the field of health action and TB control programmes.
  • Sense International India selected Malankara Social Service Society as the project implementation and facilitating agency for Sparsh Deaf-Blind project.
  • Kerala Women’s Commission entrusted MSSS as the facilitating agency for Pre-marital counselling in State of Kerala
  • Snehavirunnu free noon meal programme a memorial of the 60th Birthday of Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Catholics.
  • Snehasuraksha supporting 130 widowed mothers by providing 1000 Rs on monthly basis.
